The Trained Particles Circus presents a hybrid space between the real and virtual worlds, inspired by the figure of the flea tamer and transposed into the context of digital technologies. The installation establishes a relationship between synthetic biomechanics and an automaton to create a kind of contemporary circus spectacle, where light and shadow, physical and virtual reality, machine and organism intermingle. The project invites the viewer to stand before these hybrid and augmented subjects, questioning the boundaries between the artificial and the living. In 2018, the work received first prize in the EX experimental electronic art competition.
