Sound Artist, Sound PerformerFederico Dal Pozzo is an Italian sound artist, sound engineer, and acoustic performer based in Venice. Focusing on experimental electroacoustic composition, spatial audio, and acoustic ecology, his practice examines how sound interacts with physical spaces and architectural environments. Through the use of field recordings, custom-built acoustic interfaces, live signal processing, and multichannel audio setups, Dal Pozzo constructs immersive sonic environments that reveal the hidden vibrational and resonant qualities of everyday locations and site-specific venues.
Untitled_VNZ is a site-specific sound art project and live performance rooted in the acoustic landscape and environmental dynamics of Venice. The piece utilizes recorded ambient hydro-acoustic signals, structural resonances, and environmental soundscapes captured across the Venetian lagoon, which are then processed and spatialized in real time during live performances. By transforming the delicate acoustic signature of Venice into an evolving electroacoustic composition, Untitled_VNZ investigates themes of environmental memory, decay, and the shifting relationship between natural aquatic ecosystems and urban architecture.
