Bio-Pixels: 2nd phase is an innovative bio-art installation that reimagines the traditional digital display by replacing electronic pixels with living biological micro-organisms. Building upon his foundational bio-pixel research, this second phase utilizes controlled bioluminescent or color-shifting micro-cultures housed within custom microfluidic displays and digital interfaces. By manipulating the physical environment and environmental stressors of these living cells through computerized feedback loops, the project forms a hybrid dynamic canvas that bridges synthetic technology with organic life, raising questions about bio-ethics, display technology, and natural light generation.
