TechnologistBorja de la Maza is a digital artist, technologist, and designer specializing in the convergence of art, science, and telecommunications. With a strong track record in creating immersive experiences, his work focuses on making the intangible visible through the use of advanced technologies, Big Data, and real-time capture systems.
His project “Network Dancers” is an innovative interactive installation that transforms the invisible data flows of the telephone network into a three-dimensional visual choreography. In collaboration with the telecom operator Orange Spain, the system anonymously captures mobile and voice traffic in real time, translating this volume of Big Data into abstract forms that expand, contract, and undulate on the screen as if they were dancers moving to the beat of the music. With this work, De la Maza succeeds in creating a poetic metaphor for human behavior and the digital pulse of modern society, transforming telecommunications into a living artistic expression.
