Technarte Conference goes virtual

The 2020 edition of Technarte took place entirely online on November 13, allowing participants from anywhere to attend the conference and access the recorded sessions afterwards. The programme explored different ways of applying technology to artistic creation, with proposals related to virtual reality, artificial intelligence, biometric data, augmented reality and digital interaction.

Technarte 2020 featured ten international speakers, including Yoon Chung Han, Sarah Neville, Chiara Passa, Eyal Gruss, Jack Ox, Serge Bulat, Amalia Foka, Kyoung Swearingen, Nick Moser and Robb Pope. Their profiles brought together disciplines such as digital art, multimedia creation, design, virtual reality and artistic research.

The projects presented explored topics including the transformation of biometric data into sound and images, the creation of choreography for virtual reality, AI-generated imagery, digital avatars and interactive experiences combining physical and virtual spaces.
