Creative coding: How art education and code go together

Developed by Sabine Faller and Barbara Zoé Kiolbassa within ZKM’s Museum Communication department, Creative Coding: How Art Education and Code Go Together investigates how programming can become a creative medium in art education. Through practical workshops and open-source tools, the initiative encourages participants to experiment with code as a means of artistic expression rather than treating it solely as a technical skill. The project explores how computational thinking can complement traditional artistic practices and make digital creation more accessible in educational and cultural settings.
