Predrag Nikolic
Artist & ProffesorPredrag Nikolic is a media artist, researcher, and professor based in Shanghai, China, whose practice bridges interactive media, artificial intelligence, sound design, and human-computer interaction. With a Ph.D. in Digital Media and active academic appointments across Europe and Asia, Nikolic explores how multisensory interaction design can evoke emotional responses, shape social behavior, and transform public spaces. His research-driven artistic practice focuses on sonic interaction design, smart physical environments, and socio-bodily interfaces that turn participants into active co-creators of digital experiences.
Syntropic Counterpoints explores creative dialogue between artificial intelligence clones trained on the writings of historical thinkers such as Aristotle, Nietzsche, Machiavelli and Sun Tzu. Through these machine-to-machine conversations, the project examines whether AI can generate original, context-based creative content without direct human intervention. It also raises questions about machine creativity, the limitations of artificial intelligence and the possibility of machine consciousness.
