Asher Levine
Fashion DesignerAsher Levine is a fashion designer and entrepreneur known for combining avant-garde design, technology and biomorphic influences. He launched his eponymous label in 2009, gaining recognition after creating a leather jacket for Lady Gaga. He subsequently worked with artists including Beyoncé, Will.i.am, Rita Ora and Bruno Mars. Based in New York, his work focuses on fashion innovation, developing new materials, integrated hardware and automated manufacturing solutions for custom-made clothing.
Natural geometries are the foundation for Asher Levine’s design philosophy. The conceptual aesthetic seeks to merge this inspiration with experimental fabrication techniques and technology. Asher Levine’s current inspiration dives into the microscopic realm of the butterfly. Building on this inspiration archetype, the designs will play with various textural resolutions of butterfly anatomy, giving one the ability to wear inspired microscopic ‘skins’ within our magnification reality.
