Jaime de los Rios
Electronic artistJaime de los Ríos is a Spanish electronic artist, curator and researcher born in San Sebastián in 1982. He founded ARTEK [Lab], an independent laboratory dedicated to the intersection of art, science and technology. His practice explores the relationships between natural systems, computational processes and collective intelligence, drawing inspiration from biological patterns, migration, data flows and cybernetics. Working with open-source software, hardware and algorithmic systems, he creates generative artworks, immersive environments and audiovisual installations. His work has been presented internationally at exhibitions and festivals, including MUSAC, Medialab Prado and WRO Media Art Biennale. He also works as a curator and serves as Technical Director of the New Art Foundation.
In Infinity, Between Art, Jaime de los Ríos explores the relationship between artistic creation, mathematics and computational systems. His practice uses algorithms to generate evolving visual forms inspired by natural patterns and complex systems. By combining programming, digital imagery and interactive technologies, he examines how computational processes can produce works that develop continuously, blurring the boundaries between human creativity, nature and machine-generated art.
