The Call for Papers for the 21st edition of Technarte is now open. Until 15 October 2026, artists, researchers, scientists and creators from around the world can submit their proposals to take part in the conference, which will be held on 21 May 2027 at the Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao.

We are looking for projects that explore the relationship between art and technology from any discipline or perspective. If your work uses technology as a tool for artistic creation, experimentation or research, this is an opportunity to share it with an international audience and become part of the programme for our next edition.

What Kind of Projects Are We Looking For?

The call is open to proposals from any discipline emerging from the intersection of art and technology in all its forms. Previous editions have featured projects related to artificial intelligence applied to art, immersive installations, virtual reality, generative art, robotics, bioart, interactive architecture, fashion and technology, human-computer interaction, data art and new media art, among many other fields.

These are just a few examples. We are interested in original proposals that offer fresh perspectives on the relationship between art and technology, regardless of the discipline they come from. Technarte has always been committed to showcasing projects that push the boundaries of artistic creation and explore new forms of expression.

How to Submit a Proposal

To submit your proposal, simply follow this link and complete the submission form with the speaker’s details and your project information, including a title, an abstract and a presentation summary. At this stage, you do not need to submit your final presentation—only the abstract. If you have any questions during the submission process, you will find detailed instructions on the submission platform.

You may edit and resubmit your proposal as many times as you wish until the submission deadline. Only the latest version received before the deadline will be evaluated. Once the call has closed, no new submissions or changes will be accepted, and proposals saved as drafts will not be considered.

If you believe your project reflects the spirit of Technarte, we encourage you to submit your proposal and join us for our next edition.
