What are mixed realities? Augmented realities or Mixed Reality (MR) is a term to define the new spaces and ways to visualize information that is created as a result of the fusion between the physical and virtual worlds and their coexistence, in real time, with physical and digital objects.
Through the Encryption of embebbed URLs withing 2D codes, mobile tagging allows to add a digital layer to any physical object and offer new augmented reality layers of information of that phisycal object. An example of this would be the QR codes or Datamatrix codes.
Martha Gabriel´s presentation, she is a researcher at the University of Sao Paulo, will focus in the multiple uses of mobile tagging and mixed realities applications that are being developed in various sectors such as advertising, art, industry, etc.
Martha Gabriel will present Sensitive Rose, one of her most known projects, which will also be shown live at the conference venue. Sensitive Rose is and interactive compass rose that shows on a big screen or a computer the desires of people in the form of QR codes that express people´s moods and desires.
To be able to express their mood, people must read a QR code with their mobile phones that will open a mobile site on their phone from which they will be able to select in which mood they are and send that information wirelessly to the interactive screen. The sensitive rose will show people´s mood and desires at a certain place and time
